The active ingredient is the amino acid Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALC), an advanced form of the popular L-Carnitine.  For athletes, Acetyl L-Carnitine supplements may also reduce recovery times and post-exercise soreness.

Most often taken before exercise, ALC can increase utilisation of fat for energy - thereby accelerating fat burning while maintaining or increasing energy levels. ALC has the added bonus of boosting levels of a key neurotransmitter, for increased mental clarity and alertness, plus decreased appetite.
