Competition Posing Practice

Present Your Physique With Confidence on Stage

You have put in the work to build your physique — now it is time to make sure you can present it confidently on stage. Posing practice helps competitors improve stage presentation, build confidence and prepare for what happens under the lights on show day.

Why Posing Matters

Do Not Let Poor Presentation Hide Your Hard Work

Competition posing is about more than simply hitting a pose. Stage walks, transitions, comparisons, positioning and confidence all contribute to how your physique is presented to the judging panel.

✔ Build confidence on stage
✔ Practise stage walks
✔ Improve transitions
✔ Practise comparison rounds
✔ Become comfortable changing positions
✔ Prepare for the flow of competition day

Female Posing Coaching

Choosing Your Female Posing Coach

Planet Max does not provide dedicated individual female posing coaching. Instead, we encourage female competitors to work directly with a specialist posing coach who suits their division, federation, goals and preferred coaching style.

There are many experienced posing coaches available, and the coach you choose is completely up to you. If you are not sure where to start, the following two independent posing coaches are people Planet Max is happy to recommend.

Independent Posing Coach

Jodie

@australian_posing_coach

Jodie specialises in competition posing and works with female competitors to refine their individual presentation, transitions, stage presence and overall posing confidence.

Please note: Jodie and Leah operate independently of Planet Max. Their availability, pricing, booking terms, coaching methods and services are determined directly by them. Planet Max does not manage bookings, payments or coaching arrangements for external posing services.

These recommendations are provided as a starting point only. Competitors are welcome to choose any posing coach they feel is the right fit for them.

Which Option Is Right For Me?

Individual Coaching + Group Practice

Male Competitors

Male competitors can book individual posing coaching directly with Boris at Planet Max.

You are also welcome to work with another posing coach if you feel someone else is better suited to your needs.

Female Competitors

Female competitors should organise individual posing coaching directly with their chosen posing coach.

We have provided two trusted recommendations above to help you get started, but the coach you choose is entirely up to you.

All Competitors

During the competitive season, competitors can also attend Planet Max Group Posing to practise what they have learned with their posing coach in a group environment that more closely reflects show day.

Group Posing

Practise What Happens on Stage

Knowing your individual poses is only one part of being ready for competition. Group Posing gives you the opportunity to practise using those poses while other competitors are around you.

✔ Stage walks for various federations
✔ Symmetry comparisons
✔ Muscular comparisons
✔ Transitions between poses
✔ Changing positions in a line-up
✔ General instructor advice & demonstrations

What Group Posing Is Not

Group Posing is not a substitute for individual posing coaching.

Our instructors are there to lead the practice session, demonstrate where required and provide general advice and feedback to the group.

They will not build, teach or refine an individual posing routine for each competitor. We recommend learning and refining your individual poses with your chosen posing coach, then using Group Posing to practise executing them in a competition-style environment.

Competition Ready?

Start Practising Before Show Day

Whether you are learning your individual poses with a dedicated posing coach or practising alongside other competitors, starting early gives you more time to become comfortable and confident with your stage presentation.
