High Protein Apple and Banana Muffins

This muffin recipe is high on taste and low in fat, it makes for a great morning or afternoon tea snack.

These muffins also have a high protein content (for muffins) which makes them a great addition to a reverse dieting nutrition plan. With healthy, tasty options to choose from, sticking to your nutrition plan becomes a lot easier.

 

INGREDIENTS

1 Banana (diced or mashed)

1 Golden Delicious Apple (diced or pureed)

2 cups of Rolled Oats

2 scoops Bulk Nutrients WPC Vanilla Protein Powder

1-2  tsp Cinnamon Powder (to your taste)

2 TBSP Equal Sweetener (or similar)

1/4 tsp Baking Soda

4 Egg Whites

1 pinch of salt

 

METHOD

1. In a bowl mix dry ingredients and fruit together

2. Add egg whites (mixture may require some additional water) and stir until well combined

3. Lightly coat a muffin tin with cooking spray & evenly scoop mixture, making 12 muffins

4. Bake at 175 for approx. 15-20 mins, or until cooked through
